Channelside

channelside

Channelside is a residential and entertainment district just east of Downtown Tampa. Industrial, trendy, and eclectic style with a heavy hand in the arts best describes the Channelside District. New luxury High-rise and low-rise residential buildings are mixed together with retrofitted lofts and a thriving business/entertainment district. Victory Lofts “Model T Building” is a prime example of a warehouse conversion, built in 1925 to house automobiles, it now holds 28 sleek lofts. The TECO Historic Streetcar can be seen at several stops throughout the district carrying people from Ybor City, Harbor Island and beyond. The Channel District offers thriving entertainment options as well as a retro address to call home. Enjoy the large array of restaurants, clubs and even the Stageworks Theater or just relax by the water watching the Cruise ships pass by. Notables located in the District are; Marriott Waterside, Tampa Convention Center, the St. Pete Times Forum (home to NHL Lightning franchise & host to concert and events), The Florida Aquarium, historic American Victory ship, Saint Leo University and Channelside Bay Plaza.
